Inositol is a sugar alcohol, similar to xylitol and erythritol. It is mildly sweet, dissolves in liquid and is heat tolerant. Scientific research has shown that it can be very helpful for women with PCOS and irregular periods.I ordered this for my wife and she has started mixing 4 grams it in her morning cup of tea along with a teaspoon of xylitol. It functions as a mild sweetener and is basically tasteless other than the small amount of sweetrness it adds to the beverage. It's too early to know if it has had any benefits for her health but it has certainly had no negative effects and it's very easy to take a full dose as part of her normal morning routine. I'll update my review once she has finished the bag and see if there are any good results.According to the packaging this brand meets all the Australian standards and based on a taste test it seems to be the legitimate product. Looking forward to seeing how it works out for her.
